The Underground presents Swiftly Rising: a celebration of songwriting and creativity

The Underground, Hong Kong’s premier platform for independent music creators, is thrilled to announce Swiftly Rising, a live music event dedicated to the art of songwriting. This unique gig, held at Terrible Baby, will spotlight the city’s most promising singer-songwriters while opening the floor for attendees to learn more about the performers’ creative process.

Event Highlights:
Songwriting focus: Swiftly Rising will delve into the intricacies of songwriting, exploring how songwriters craft their songs and the passion they have for their art.

Q&A sessions: Each performer will participate in a Q&A session before their set, covering topics such as musical influences, creative struggles and the techniques they use to craft songs.

ONErpm: Known for empowering artists with robust music business and marketing solutions, ONErpm will have a representative in attendance to enrich the discussion.

This showcase will feature songs written and performed in English.

VAUN: Vaun, who is also the frontman of Magic Mountain Bells, blends ’80s hair metal, ’90s punk grit and modern rock swagger into melodic, alternative acoustic rock in his solo music.

KEISHA BUCKLAND: Keisha crafts acoustic pop songs woven with storytelling and draws inspiration from Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter. She will soon release her debut single Ammonite.

RYAN CHEUNG: Combining R&B and neo-soul-infused pop with influences spanning John Mayer to Bruno Major, Ryan is working on his first full-length album, set for release in late 2024.

Who is this event for?
Everyone! Whether you’re a music lover who just wants to listen to great tunes in a beautiful venue or a budding songwriter looking for inspiration and guidance to develop your craft, Swiftly Rising will be an evening to remember.
